16-year-old Joey joins his footy mates and AFL heroes, their journey becomes more than a game — it’s mateship, culture, pride, and the stories that shape who we are.
YARNIN’ is where footy legends, young guns, and community voices come together to yarn about the stuff that actually matters — on and off the field. Big stories are dropping soon.
Can footy conquer the great divide?
Well, that's the thing about footy.
Rising star director Jack Steele (Wiradjuri) and this First Nations creative team are telling the stories they’ve lived.
Jack’s powerful eye and deep cultural affinity bring raw honesty and cinematic flair to every yarn. Writer/Producers Ryan Liddle (Luritja) and Craig Jupurulla Woods (Mutitjulu) are respected community leaders and storytellers, drawing on decades of lived experience in journalism, culture, and country. Producer Adam Morgan, an Aussie Rules expert, producer and actor drives the heart of the project — combining sport and story to spark change for the next generation.
